Man on the Street - Volume 3

I got another email from Travis this morning.  It concerns America and Glory.  Read on, read on.

oh yeah, i'm home now.

also, that was the best sporting event experience i have ever had. donovan scored on our side of the field, ran to the corner that we were sitting 15 rows up from and i ran down within about 10-15 feet from the dog pile. i paid $90 for the ticket and would have gladly paid 100x that. so. flipping. amazing. i only wish jozy had chosen our side of the field to run into the crowd on. unfortunately he chose the other side (which admittedly was probably the larger of the USA support sections).

the tension that was building up throughout the entire game was so intense that once it was released after the goal it was like nothing i have ever been a part of. completely unreal.

that game completely validated the entire trip for me. not that the trip needed any sort of validation...but if i had to sit in one of those mud huts you see on national geographic for 4.5 weeks just to get to see that game live, it would have been worth it.
